Book Blogger Hop Day: June 24-26

Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word! This weekly BOOK PARTis an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!

This week's question is:

“When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?”

My Answer: That's a tough question since I guess I've always loved reading and it always played an important role in my life, especially in school.  The library was a place I could go away from my teasing peers, and I could always escape the noise by just opening a new book.  I think college kind of placed my joy of reading on hold because I didn't feel I had as much time to read.  Granted, I did read books just not as much as I used to and mostly graphic novels.  But now that I'm working in a library, and also blogging about books, I feel my passion is rekindling and I'm looking forward to the many new books on my TBR pile.  ^_^

  2. Loved your answer for this week's question! I think working in a library is a close second to my nursing haha. I think, if I wasn't becoming a nurse, I'd be a librarian. And I'd live IN the library haha.

  6. Hi, I'm a new follower! I'm the same, in my post on this I even mentioned how my reading slowed down in college. You also have my dream job, I want to be a school librarian so bad. One day I'll get the chance. Hope you'll stop by and check out my blog if you get time.

  7. Many of us experienced the drought of reading in college! I would read all the way through each break just to feel balanced again!!! Books are a great escape from the growing up woes, too!

  9. I always felt guilty reading while studying. I figured I should be spending the time reading text books so tried to save the books I really wanted to read for my holidays but there was never enough time to get through them all. Maybe I can blame my enormous TBR pile on my time at university ;)

  10. When did I first realize I loved reading? I wish I could prove a pre-natal predilection towards books but my memories don’t stretch back quite that far.

The earliest memories I can recall involved books. First having them read to me then reading them on my own the minute I had the ability.

Books have been a major part of my life ever since. My passion for the written word knowing no bounds, I started writing books on top of reading them about ten years ago.
