This week's question is:
This week's question comes from Aislynn who reviews at Knit, Purl, Stitch...Read and Cook!
"Outside of books, what is your guilty pleasure?"
My Answer: Baking just to bake something is a real passion of mine, so it's a pleasure for me and my friends, too. I especially love trying out new recipes, though I'll go with old standards if it seems like I need something sweet like chocolate chip cookies (God bless the Tollhouse Cookie recipe!). ^_^ My most guilty of pleasures has to be science fiction films and memoribilia like comics, plush toys or action figures, or even movie posters. Yes, I am a nerd and darned proud of it, too!
What's your guilty pleasure outside of books?
I love to bake too. My family loves fresh baked bread that is still hot from the oven.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I love experimenting with cupcake and brownie recipes. It came in handy for my daughter's second birthday last November! Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting (:
ReplyDeleteI'm too lazy for baking, but I love eating what ohter people bake xp
Thanks for stopping by my blog:) Returning the visit! I bake too from time to time.
ReplyDeleteNew follower here from the hop! I like baking too, but it's hard to find the time... Hope you'll come visit me at http://redhotbooks.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI just took a cake-decorating class and it was great, but I'm still SO bad. ;) Have you read 'The Boozy Baker'? It's my fave new cookbook. New follower! http://www.brazenbookworm.com
ReplyDeleteHopping through. I love baking too! I'm a fan of cooking too. I made scones this weekend twice. I used the same recipe, but did chocolate-chip/orange zest one time and blueberry/lemon zest the other time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog!! Since you said you like puzzle games on the DS, have you tried the Professor Layton series? Tons of brain teasers, puzzles, and riddles. You should check it out!
ReplyDeleteIf you're going to have a guilty pleasure, anything with chocolate is the way to go. Nice blog. I'm now following you from Crazy for Books.
ReplyDelete@ Anne: There's nothing quite like the smell of baking bread. :) My roommates and I used to devour a loaf in 2 days.
ReplyDelete@ Marla: If you like cupcakes and brownies, you should try whoopie pies! :) Very tasty.
@ Hannah: As long as you enjoy it, that's half the fun. ;)
@ Pepca: Just make sure you've got people to share the goodies with. :)
@ Jen: Sometimes, the rarity is what makes the baking all the more special. :) I like your blog, too!
@ Sarah: Oh, wow, at least you've taken the class, I just do simple icing designs with my cakes. :)
@ Alison: Oh, goodness that sounds good! You should post the recipe. ;)
@ Jamie: My most recent game purchase was the latest Professor Layton game, The Unwound Future! :D I need to see about finding the other two now.
@ Sharon: Amen to that! And when you combine chocolate and reading (albeit carefully to not get chocolate smudges on the pages), it's ten times better. ;)
I love eating whatever edible stuff that came out of the oven, especially chocolate. And luckily, the food was made by my mother, not me, so bless my stomach!
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived next door to you! I love eating fresh baked goods, but I'm not much of a baker. My husband makes great cookies though!
ReplyDelete@ Jez: You'd probably enjoy what I baked this morning then since it features chocolate. :) Gotta love whoopie pies!
ReplyDelete@ Susan: lol The problem you run into is a sore tummy after eating too many of the baked goodies. :) It's good that you can enjoy your husband's cookies instead!
Thats a nice guilty pleasure! it will make lots of people happy as well. Have a good weekend.
