Book Blogger Hop Day: March 11-13

Book Blogger Hop

It's Book Blogger Hop Day courtesy of the meme available at Crazy-for-Books.com.  If you're crazy for books and like hearing about upcoming and new titles, let others know by hopping by their blogs for a visit.

This week's question comes from Ellie who blogs at Musings of a Bookshop Girl:
"If I gave you £50 (or $80) and sent you into a bookshop right now, what would be in your basket when you finally staggered to the till?"

My Answer: Oh goodness, this is a tough one, but I'll do my best on a list!

Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Barnes
Rival by Sara Bennett Wealer
The Grimm Legacy by Polly Shulman
Need by Carrie Jones
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Storm Born by Richelle Mead
Voices of Dragons by Carrie Vaughn
Goddess of the Rose by P.C. Cast

What would you buy at a bookstore with $80?

  1. That's a good list. ^_^ I can personally vouch for Raised by Wolves, a personal favorite of mine.

  2. Stopping by from the Hop. I loved Goddess of the Rose. I came across the first P.C. Cast book published (Goddess by Mistake) at a friends of the library sale around 2003 and have been hooked ever since.

  4. Hi, just dropping by on the hop. My memory is rubbish so any list I made would probably be out of the window by the time I made it to the store anyway! Have a great weekend.

  7. @ LupLun: That's good to hear, though I'll refrain from reading your review until after I've read it. :)

@ Marla: I came across it online while doing a search for the library's collection. After reading the summary, I just really want it in my personal collection. :) Here's hoping my own library's book sale will yield a boone!

@ Karen: Let me know what you think of it, though you must be busy with other books, too, if you haven't finished it yet. :) Not to mention school of course.

@ TC: I know what you mean, though I'd probably have some backup titles in case I didn't find a few on my list. :)

@ HS: Nah, just makes you nosy. ;) But really, you never know what you might find on another's list that you might like, too, so it pays to look.

@ pussreboots: 6 is a good number of books, I'm surprised I thought of 8 to spend that kind of money on.

@ Somer: I've heard such good things about it, and I'm hoping our library will get the whole trilogy soon. :) We missed it the first go-around, but not this time!

@ Mystica: I agree, I've found many new books that are just making my TBR list grow and grow!

  9. Thanks for stopping by! Great choices. I waited forever for my library to get the Iron King trilogy and finally broke down and bought the first book. It was really good! Now they have the series and I am loving the Iron Daughter.
